Plant Layouts

An entry level plant system

Model 21 Plant

An entry level plant system, complete with all systems and concrete building materials to begin producing concrete block. The Model 21 system includes a mixer, incline mud belt, the Model 21 concrete products machine, a combination roll off/pallet return assembly, and finally a hydraulic manual offbearer assembly and product racks.


Plant for smaller operations or specialty lines

Model 22 Plant

Designed for smaller operations or specialty lines, the Model 22 is available in a variety of configurations. This layout includes a mixer, incline mud belt, the Model 22 Two Block concrete products machine, a manual offbearer, plus a separate cured product operation that features an offbearer and a semi-automatic cubing line.

Model 16/1600 Plant

A more advanced plant design, this Model 16 (three block)/ 1600 (four block) plant features an aggregate metering assembly and single cement silo, a mixer station, incline mud belt, the concrete products machine, and a rack loader/unloader assembly. Cured concrete product is taken to the RL/UL and forwarded to a Model 8 cubing line.


Advanced plant layout includes the Trac-A-Rac system

Small 16/1600 Plant With Trac-A-Rac

A more advanced version of the 16/1600 plant, this layout includes the Trac-A-Rac system, which links the rack loader unloader to the kilns via an automated rack transportation system. The Trac-A-Rac carries full racks of green product to the kilns using a rail-guided car system, and also returns racks of cured product from the kilns to the RL/UL and on to the cubing line.

Large 16/1600 Plant With Trac-A-Rac

Similar to the Model 16/1600 Plant With Trac-A-Rac, this version includes a double cement silos assembly. Also included is the aggregate metering assembly, mixer station, concrete products machine, rack loader/unloader, Trac-A-Rac system, and Model 8 cubing line.

CPM Plant

A state-of-the-art plant configuration, this CPM machine / system includes an aggregate metering system, full concrete mixer station with double cement silos, a pivoting mud belt, the CPM concrete products machine (Model CPM30, CPM40, CPM50 or CPM60). Green product is rolled off to the Pallet Transporter System, including the PTS car, which transports the pallets to the curing kilns, and also returns cured products to the PTS tower. Cured concrete products are automatically removed from their pallets, and the empty pallets are scraped, oiled, turned over and returned the the CPM machine to begin the process again. Meanwhile, product is rolled into the Model 8 cubing line for final cubing prior to transporting the yard for pick-up and delivery.

LPM Plant

Columbia's largest plant configuration. This LPM system includes an aggregate metering system, full mixer station with double cement silos, a pivoting mud belt, and the all-electric 1400e Large Pallet big board machine. Green product is rolled off to the Pallet Transporter System, which transports the pallets to the curing kilns and returns cured products to the PTS tower. Cured products are automatically removed from their pallets, and the empty pallets are scraped, oiled, turned over and returned the the LPM machine. Meanwhile, product is rolled into the e-Series QBR Clamp Cuber (QBR 1000e, 2000e, 3000e).
